One night, we crossed paths at a local bar and spent a few unforgettable days together. Unsure if we would see each other again, we stayed in touch.

A few months later, in January 2024, we reunited in Buenos Aires. From that point on, Clara started her journey as a digital nomad and we spent the rest of the year following each other around the world: Guatemala, the U.S., Italy, Brazil.

We started sharing life, meeting each other’s friends and families, and slowly building something real and lasting.

We started sharing life, meeting each other’s friends and families, and slowly building something real and lasting.

Then in 2025, during a winter trip to the mountains of Colorado, Tony proposed.

We had originally planned to keep traveling independently and meet whenever possible. But our plans changed and we decided to invest in a life together, and make the U.S. our home for now while Tony continues travel nursing.

Now we want to celebrate the love that’s grown between us and our passion for travel by bringing everyone we care about together for a celebration in Bahia, Brazil in August 2026.

Option 1 (FASTER)

Take a taxi, Uber, or private transfer directly from the airport to Arraial d’Ajuda. It’s simple and comfortable.

Option 2 (more scenic)

Take a taxi from the airport to the Porto Seguro ferry terminal, cross the ferry on foot, and once you’re on the other side, take a taxi, van, or bus to Villa Tainá.

RSVPs

When and where do I RSVP?

You can fill in the RSVP section on the website.

What if I can’t make it?

If you confirm your presence and something comes up and you can’t attend anymore, just let us know.

Are kids invited?

Yes, everyone is welcome.

Accommodation

Where should I stay?

We reserved a space for our guests at Villa Tainá. If we fill the rooms available at the Villa Tainá Hotel, they will suggest a nearby accommodation.

What should I pack?

Bahia in August is warm, tropical, and relaxed: beach vibes with sunny days and breezy nights. We suggest packing light, breathable clothing, swimwear, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and bug repellent. Comfortable sandals or flip-flops are ideal for getting around, and a light sweater or jacket can come in handy for cooler evenings. Don’t forget one dressy outfit for the wedding.

Exploring Brazil

Where should I fly?

The nearest airport to Arraial d’Ajuda is Porto Seguro Airport (BPS). From there, you can reach the venue easily with a short taxi or ferry ride. To find the best fares, we suggest using Skyscanner and booking about 6 months in advance. If you’re traveling from the United States, it’s often cheaper to book separate tickets: one round-trip flight to Rio de Janeiro, and another round-trip from Rio de Janeiro to Porto Seguro with local airlines such as Latam, Azul, or Gol. You can also take advantage of a stopover and enjoy Rio de Janeiro and enjoy before or after Bahia.

What is there to do in Bahia and Brazil?

Bahia is full of life, culture, and natural beauty. In Arraial d’Ajuda, you’ll find colorful streets, local markets, and beautiful beaches right outside your door. Nearby, you can visit the charming town of Trancoso with its famous Quadrado, or head to Caraíva, a rustic beach village that feels frozen in time or go a bit further to Salvador, the vibrant capital of the state. If you’re up for a bigger adventure, we highly recommend visiting Chapada Diamantina, a stunning national park with hiking trails, waterfalls, and canyons, it’s a paradise for nature lovers. For a tropical island experience, Boipeba is breathtaking and less touristy than other destinations. If you’re staying longer in Brazil, cities like Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, or Foz do Iguaçu are unforgettable. Just remember Brazil is huge, so plan accordingly!

Do I need a visa to visit Brazil?

Yes, if you are a U.S. citizen, Brazil recently reinstated tourist visa requirements. You’ll need to apply online for an e-visa through the official website: https://brazil.vfsevisa.com The visa is valid for 10 years, allows multiple entries, and currently costs around $80 USD (including processing fees). Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry. Citizens from the European Union, UK, and many other countries do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days.
